About Squareshot

Squareshot is a fashion-oriented product photography service with studios in New York and Los Angeles. We provide an on-demand catalog, creative, and model photography for e-commerce businesses. Since 2017, we've worked with 2,000 brands, such as Corkcicle, Knickerbocker, Farmacy Beauty, Brain Dead, The Outset (Scarlet Johansson), Bel-Air Athletics (Will Smith), Whoop, Fotografiska and more.

Squareshot is seeking a creative individual who knows and loves working with social media (from Instagram to LinkedIn), pays attention to detail, and has a strong aesthetic sense (since Squareshot's social media followers are primarily creative professionals and founders of fashion and lifestyle brands).

It's also important that you have proven experience working with brand guidelines: Squareshot has a well-defined strategy, positioning, visual style, and tone of voice, that we stick to (and we would expect you to do the same). And, of course, English is a must (all content is created in English for the US-based audience). If this aligns with your professional and creative goals, let’s talk!

Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy and Calendar: Develop a content strategy that aligns with Squareshot's long-term goals, target audience, and brand identity. Maintain a content calendar to plan, organize, and ensure timely content creation and publication.
  • Content Creation: Produce a variety of content (visuals, success stories, newsletters, blog articles, guides, videos, social media posts, podcasts, etc.) that adheres to Squareshot's brand guidelines and tone.
  • Social Media Management: Publish, schedule, and manage social media posts and profiles; track analytics to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Community Management: Monitor and respond to comments and messages to foster community and answer questions.
  • Portfolio Management: Maintain a backlog of Squareshot's best work for distribution.
  • Analytics and Metrics: Use analytics tools to measure content performance and KPIs like reach, engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Trend Monitoring and Idea Generation: Monitor industry trends to identify content opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Brief and collaborate with in-house and freelance photographers, designers, writers, and other experts to create aligned content. Revise their work as needed.

  • Experience working with brand guidelines and various visual content.
  • Understanding of different social media platforms (for instance, knowing which content works best on LinkedIn versus Instagram, when and how often to post on Facebook, etc.).
  • Know how to create (and how to explain this task to required specialists) short, informative, and impactful content. Short copy is king.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to follow trends (both professional trends related to social media and visual content, as well as industrial trends n fashion and lifestyle).
